With this project supported by National Council for Science & Technology Communications, Department of Science & Technology (DST), GoI, the organization is going to provoke and promote creative scientific thought to invoke practical solutions to the environmental crisis and create an opportunity to for the best of young minds to be mentored by the national experts and hone their creativity and thought process.
The project is about Development of Young Eco Media Professionals & Promotion of Best Practices for Developing Eco Literacy & Scientific Temper amongst Youth. The aim of the project is to develop scientific narratives, primarily from case-studies developed in Jal Sutra and Eco Next Mission of NCSTC to promote scientific ecological mindset.
The initiative is to first train the teachers in the targeted 5 regions and then hosting an Eco Studio Trainings for young media professionals in North, Central, South, East & Western region. This would be mostly targeted at hosting the teachers from the participating schools.
Based on these workshops, the schools would prepare the media in the form of print, A/V, Electronic, Social Media- Facebook Page, Blog & Webpage, Folk Media to express a scientific problem and looking at the problem from the masses’ perspective. Then the media presented by the young minds would be selected for the Young Change Makers Awards.
